Mga kababayan ko,

The politics of survival once again was clear in the votes of our congressmen Figueroa and Uy in the second impeachment try spearheaded by the Black and White Movement and the citizenry that included clergy and bishops against Gloria Kakapal Aroooyo.

There was indeed a sudden change of the once appearing to be patriotic congressmen or was it just because of general problem Palparan. . .Our supposed to be honorable guys did not say yes to the impeachment move because, as I have predicted more than a month ago, it is election fever once again. Where will they source their campaign funds but from the full treasure of the president's house.  An ak iroy, an ak amay o mga kabugtu-an? Syempre una it ak tiyan anay!  Yes, its survival my friends that is first in the minds of our politicos, never mind what the people say, anyway they will forget it when the brand new bank notes come!

Who was it who said that our government is OFF the people, BUY the people, and POOR or FOOL the people? The message is clear and their action was very clear. Too bad not too may people are voicing out their minds because they are just tired, too tired, of the woes of our Samar and our country.

In the last SONA of Gloria, you know very well my friends that she did not even mention that there is a Samar Island in her kingdom that exists which suffers bad roads and bridges and its people suffer from lack of social services of her autocracy. She is sore of course that FPJ got the overwhelming majority of votes in her rigged elections. It is a very good example of a populace that voted without the doctoring of the military and the Comelec, unlike the results from Mindanao na pinakialaman ng mga unggoys!

So, it is clear that Samar must continue to suffer while GMA lives in the house of the people at San Miguel, Manila, by the Pasig River that puts to shame the filth of this administration. I just want to make known to you people out there ‘cause it hurts me as a Samareño that we are always neglected by Manilans and all other government officials, including our own!

Lord God, Heavenly King, Creator of the now polluted universe, give us more wisdom to comprehend and correct what we can in our time, through Jesus Our Lord, Amen!

Hello friends,

Have you read or heard the news lately? Malacanan told the hospitals and other medical establishments not to classify the 2006 Nurses' Board Passers as second class professionals. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has also insisted that there will be no repeat of examimations 3 and 5 where the reported leak happened.

So what else is new? None, my friends. Mr. Dante Ang, who was assigned by the president's house (not a palace as she is not definitely a queen and a dictator! kuno) to conduct a sort of inquiry and recommend sound measures to protect the integrity of the Nurses' Board Exams., recommended for a retake but the president did not listen to him, as she did not listen also to the impeachment clamour due to her clear cheating of the presidential election, protection of Joc2 Bolante's investigation due to illegal use of fertilizer funds for the poor farmers which was used as pork or election money, and so many other kababalaghans in the government. The president of course has no moral ascendancy to investigate and or correct what irregularities were had in the Nurses Board Exam because she herself is not clean, right Garci?

So my dear nurses, let's follow the leader, as they say a good leader is a good follower! Let's follow the example of GMA!  An namumuno ngani nasuringag an mga sumurunod man puede liwat nga masuringag because we must follow the leader by her example! That's it! Kita-a man she cannot force herself into the straightening of the system for what has she done? Covering the faults and the cheating, lying and stealing of this administration. There was a time whan I walked and probably looked proud that I have relatives, friends and acquaintances who worked with the government but now this has changed. I now suspect everyone and everything that a government employee or official has done or is doing, sooner there will be a bomb! You know what I mean 'cause you were not born yesterday my friend. More mysterious activities for pa-pogi points are to come thru the PR men and women of politicos because it will soon be election time!

You still wonder why they are not providing enough school buildings, teachers and books, etc? Politicos will enslave their constituents by making them illiterate for as long as there are reasons to perform by installments so that they will also be poor and fall easy to vote buying...

All of the politicos in power are surely for a Constituent Assembly, that the Congress and the Senate amending for their benefit the constitution and in the course, protecting their interests and investments, continuing the hold of their families or clans or groups of the populace and making deals with generous, repeat generous foreign investors. So they are against the Constitutional Convention because of the alleged additional expense of the government. Oh my ghost! We must not fall prey to their kind of reasoning which is misleading and self-serving. ConCon however is an added expense only to the politicos who will also groom a candidate who will protect their interests, that's bigger expense mi amigos and amigas.

Sanglit mga kabugtoan pray hard for life is short and politicos will make the freedom and life of our nation even shorter!

Happy fiesta to all Calbayognons and Borongganons come September 8, 2006. I hope that our politicos will be like Mother Mary in their care and devotion to their children-constituents-fellow Samarnons. . .

You can get to Albuera, Leyte via Cebu, City Philippines and catch a fast boat to Ormoc, City (only 2 hours traveling time) and then a bus to Albuera which is about 30 minutes drive. I won't blame you for having misconception about the Philippines considering what's happening on the world news at the moment. I believe you would be pretty safe in our country, just like anywhere else. You can get information from the U.S. embassy which places are generally safe to travel. Re the article on Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's granting of executive clemency [special report] to Samar's first district Cong. As Gen. Palparan is now out of Samar and making waves in Central Luzon, I wonder what Cong. Cata Figueroa can figure out as his bargain in the second impeachment.

You see Tony Boy, the realities in our country "sucks". The Supreme Court is powerless. The Senate are considered wolves in the wilderness. Congress is the metered "shock absorber" of the Palace. Which leaves us the palace as the Law.

A change? Well, Cha-Cha is the name of the game. What else could ensure a longer stay in Malacanang?

The recent executive clemency granted to the "honorable" congressman of the first district of Samar [special report] is an example of our decaying system of governance in the Philippines. Gloria Arroyo, exercising her presidential prerogative, sugar-coated the crime of nepotism committed by the congressman. By all its accounts, the case is definitely a moral turpitude in the highest regard and should have barred the congressman from seeking public office.

However, the executive clemency cleared the blocks away for Mr. Uy. Such is the callousness of this president and this congressman that a criminal case can now become a bargaining tool for impeachment vote. No wonder then that the ordinary government worker would try his best to break the law because nothing seems serious in this country of ours.

Laws are made to be broken and convicts are made to be elected once more as congressmen and honest people are made to suffer as a consequence of all these. Such is the state of gory politics in this country. Say goodbye to justice! God have mercy on us!

The thesis of Rev. Fr. Belizar's "Universal Destination of Goods, Anyone?" article (insight) is definitely anchored on truth. No one could dispute those realities especially in the Philippines. However, in a heavily Catholic nation, those realities become reality checks not only to the government but also to the Roman Catholic hierarchy since the failure of the socio-political system is not solely the responsibility of the governing power but the institution that provides moral fiber to the systems and powers that be.

The issue behind these social malaise is a moral one. Greed that usurps individuals to become corrupt officials and people to amass unwanted personal wealth at the behest of the poor is a moral issue that the church should address. The church therefore is part of the solution since it is part of the problem. For instance, the Church should allow the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law to apply to vast tracks of friar lands so the poor farmers can have a piece of land they can call their own. With that, parishioners like Corazon Aquino will be motivated to offer Hacienda Luisita for genuine land reform not the so-called "portfolio" land reform by merely giving the poor farmers certificates of stocks.

As of today, Hacienda Luisita is now slowly being reverted back to the Cojuangcos of Tarlac as the poor farmers can't survive by being merely stockholders of a corporation where dividends are declared once in a blue moon while their former landlords now posing as business executives drive their new pajeros and have vacations abroad. That is "universal destination of goods, anyone?"
