This is in response to the
call of Tonyboy to rally behind to save Samar. Long before I espouse
a move to save our province from long slumber but it seems that the
people of Samar refuses to change. It is about time that we have to
wake up and educate our people to get out from the bondage of
poverty. All Samareno working abroad and those who are actually
living in the province let us do something to stop these shenanigans
from bastardising the province of Samar. We know what is right and
what is wrong. If the recall will come to fruition let us field
somebody who is upright and who cannot be corrupted. We have plenty
of talented people in our midst. We have Mr. Alejandro Cananua, we
have Mr. Dominador Cabangangan to name a few. Let’s rally behind
them to save Samar. Or we can ask the good Justice Antonio Nachura
to come to our rescue. Come to your senses now the good people of
Samar.

Chinoy Chopsuey in Samar
Calbayog Mayor Ining Uy,
the political kingpin or the political "killing field" operator in
the first district, has thrown his hat into the political ring by
challenging the incumbent Gov. Sharee Ann Tan (also known by her
initials S.A. TAN or S.A.T.A.N.). The mayor has calibrated his
minions to bankroll a campaign for a recall election. While the
process may seem a long shot, it is doable. So, in the event that a
recall election is conducted, the cooking of a Chinoy Chopsuey in
Samar is inevitable.
These two clans the Uys of
Calbayog and the Tans of Catbalogan have the political muscles to do
a political wrestling. The question is whether who's going to come
out as the winner. My humble estimation is that the Samarnons will
not only be squeezed to death when these two clans will fight but
the development of the entire province will be hampered. It's like
digging the grave deeper and deeper.
I may be branded a racist
but it is obvious that they are chinese-filipino families who have
captured the highest offices in the province using their gold to buy
votes, their guns and goons to silence their opponents, and their
guts to stomach their deplorable and unethical political practices.
An immigrant family story is always fascinating. Today, we have
allowed chinoy families to rule Samar with wanton disregard of our
freedom to choose our best leaders. We have substituted our right to
vote with the right of the highest vote buyer to dictate whom to
vote. We have accepted the reigns of incompetent political leaders
instead of demanding that public office is a public trust. We have
become a laughing stock in the entire region VIII. Southern Leyte
and Biliran are fast overshadowing us in terms of development. Samar
is now becoming the poorest province in the island of Samar. Once
the mother province in the island of Samar, Samar province is now
the weakest province in the island.
Hain na kamo na mga
mag-isog nga Samarnon? Makaon na liwat kamo hin mapan-os na chop

I've read with interest
Samar Gov. Sharee Ann Tan's recent plan to complete Catbalogan
City's domestic airport after more than five decades of inaction by
Samar leaders and politicians. I certainly hope she attains her goal
of completing this worthwhile endeavor as this will surely be a
feather in her cap. She'll be fondly remembered by Samareños as the
one who finally succeeded where so many before her sadly failed.
Samar Province has a lot
to offer the world in terms of eco-tourism. The Calbiga-Catbalogan
City-Daram Tourism Loop is an excellent example. Samar is one of the
Philippines' most beautiful provinces and is worth visiting. To
expedite travel from Manila and other cities, it is imperative that
Catbalogan City's domestic airport be completed soon. Samareños have
waited long enough. It's about time Catbalogan City had its own
airport and the time is now. Thank you.

The plan to initiate the
power of recall in accordance with and pursuant to the existing
laws, versus the incumbent governor and vice governor of Samar (the
congresswoman (the mother) should also be included) is indeed very
timely.
This political
exercise/strategy should be utilized more often by the electorate
against political assholes whose incumbency are a waste of
taxpayers' money.
I am a full-blooded
Samareño, but it is unfortunate to say that I am ashamed of the
present political situation in my province. There are many brilliant
and capable Warays to govern Samar more effectively, but they are
rejected by the electorate because the color and smell of money of
the Tan's prevailed among the impoverished and hungry Waray voters.
Imagine, Samar and the
first district of Samar is controlled and gin iinoyagan la by one
family whose origin is not even from Samar. An nanay from governor
to congresswoman, an anak from congresswoman to governor and an
totoy from the crib to vice governor. Fantastic!
I am ONE HUNDRED ONE
(101%)per cent supportive of the proposed political exercise to
initiate the power of RECALL versus the governor, vice governor and
it should include the congresswoman.
I am very optimistic that
it will succeed with the support of the Warays. Thus, it is said
that "THE WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE IS THE SUPREME LAW"; and MORE POWER
TO THE PEOPLE OF SAMAR.

Greetings to the people of
the province of Samar (Western). The more I read comments to the
Samar News.com, it pains me that no one from the 1st District of
Samar dared to comment on the shenanigans of their politicians
there.
Although I am already a
resident of Leyte, from time to time, I visit my hometown of Sta.
Margarita. The activities (corruption) of the Tan Family pales in
comparison to the corruption and killings perpetrated by the
honorable politicians from the 1st District of Samar. Consider
this.. In Gandara, no one dares to run against the incumbent Mayor (Cabuenos),
or else, patay kang bata ka! Recently, he was arrested for illegal
possession of firearms (he's out on bail-courtesy of the Liberal
Party). In Sta. Margarita, systematic corruption, i.e., the Mayor,
through the connivance of the entire Sangguniang Bayan members, a
resolution is passed, giving them emoluments for a job (read:
travel) well done! In fact, the liquidation of their travels are
approved even though pertinent papers in their liquidation are all
photocopies. All the 9 towns and the City of Calbayog have the same
pattern of modus operandi! In the hinterlands, if you do not kowtow
to the wishes of the honorable congressman from Calbayog (who
already finished his term), you might get killed by his goons. No
town from the 1st District of Samar is free from private armies. All
mayors there (from the Liberal Party) have one.
The military, police and
the press are blind of these facts because:
1) they are in the payroll
of these politicians from the 1st District;
2) they are afraid to come
out in the open;
3) they are the goons
themselves that are feared by the electorate. What I am praying for,
is for the Samar News.com and all the press of Samar in general, to
be fair. If you really fight for the truth, please report the
sentiments of the lowly farmers and residents from the hinterlands
of the 1st District of Samar of their predicaments. The Tans robbed
us money, but the Liberal Party, under the leadership of Mayor
Reynaldo Uy from Calbayog City is not robbing only us of our hard
earned tax money, but also of our freedom of expression and of life
itself.

Tomas Marcial A lesson to
us all in your words of wisdom an great insight. The same is true of
every nation power corrupts those who we give the power to. They
forget the dream and the toil and work only to improve their own
lives whilst the masses still struggle up the mountain towrds the
dream.
The people together can
make the changes to hold the politicians accountable for their
actions. I just read again that at election time the voters were
once again bribed. If President Aquino is serious about stopping the
corruption then making bribing of the voters illigal should be the
first step forward.

This week, let us focus
our prayers for godly barangay leadership. As it is written in the
Sacred Scriptures Romans 13 declares that God establishes
governments and that He appoints government leaders as His servants,
for His purposes.
As we elect new barangay
leaders, join me in praying for God's mercy to be upon us as a
nation. Ask the Lord for godly leaders to be elected to our
barangays all over the Philippines. Pray that He would establish men
and women of God in positions of authority -- those who will govern
by His Spirit and will lead the Filipino people with God's Truth.
May the Lord be merciful
to our beloved native land the Philippines!

Please pray that the
practice of killing the unborn would end and that all affected by it
would find forgiveness and redemption through Jesus Christ.
Dear Friends,
Life is a wonderful gift
that has been given to us by God. Sadly, when we do not value life
as we should or acknowledge it as coming from Him, we experience
consequences that devastate us individually and as a nation. This
week please pray that our country will once again acknowledge and
respect the sanctity of life. Please also intercede for those who
are experiencing the consequences of viewing people--whether unborn,
young, old, or disabled--as being expendable. Pray that they will
find redemption through Jesus Christ--the One who loves them and
gives eternal life to all who seek Him.
Father in heaven, from the
moment of conception, You form our inward parts--You weave each of
us together within our mothers' wombs. Thank You, Lord, for making
us in such a wonderful and awe-inspiring way--every one of us so
detailed and complex, with gifts, talents, and abilities unique to
each individual. Our frames have never been hidden from You, though
they may be concealed from the outside world or they appear to be
failing us as we grow older. Your eyes see us--even when no one else
does--and in Your book are written the days ordained for us. Lord,
we pray that You will change our nation--that we would again
acknowledge that life is from You and that every person is precious
in Your sight. Please help those who have forgotten this to
experience Your forgiveness and redemption. And please defend the
helpless souls who cannot protect themselves. Thank You for hearing
our prayers, our Father. In Jesus' name, Amen. (See Psalm
139:13-16.) Fwd: [from Charles F. Stanley]

A Dream of a Filipino
family. I came to Manila with my sleeves rolled up, as one of many
provincianos do, then thousands, then by hundred of thousands of
people woke up every morning. This are Filipinos who played by the
rules, paid their taxes, and work to achieve their dreams. A good
life for their family to answer their basic needs. Working wast'n
something to be ashamed of..it was something to be proud of. And it
wasn't for greeeed. People did this..worked this way...struggled and
saved to make their world and the world for their children a better
place. People struggled to go from living in the poor section of
cities and town, because that was all they could afford, to move a
couple blocks over to where the neighborhood was a little nicer and
the houses a bit bigger...and maybe the school system was better for
their kids. You struggled and you saved and you were able to buy a
house and you were proud, because there is a certain amount of pride
and dignity, and yes, honor, that comes from hard work, struggling,
saving centavos...yes saving, centavos, pesos... in order to achieve
a BETTER LIFE FOR YOU, YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR GRANDCHILDREN.
The Filipinos dream was
spoken with many different dialects, by many different people on
many different levels on economic scales, from the ditch digger, to
the clerk, to the factory worker, the young professionals, to the
small entrepreneur, to the inventor, to the businessman, to the
corporate leader, to leaders of industry. We all shared the same
dream. We all worked together in this country on different levels.
We all got early, got our hands dirty, came home tired and sometimes
beat. When you're up a muddy hill you get dirty, sweaty and at times
hurt, but you don't give up. You make a camp, you rest up, and the
next day you start climbing that mountain again. There are times
that you slide back and there are times you might struggle all day
and you haven't gained a foot of ground, but you don't quit. You get
up the next morning and struggle and strive again, and you do it
because you want to make a better world for yourself and for those
you love. Because of people who dreamed and then made that dream a
reality, our family became successful...of what freedom truly
represented to man. We changed the world...this bright shining light
throughout the entire world...of what freedom truly represented to
man. We don't need kings and queens, because they were not better
than us, that greatness and goodness did not come from bloodlines,
but came from character. Our love for God, and our love for freedom
created in us and in our children a caring and nurturing desire to
share this gift.. this gift of freedom, to people throughout. So
much so that when the politicians screwed itself up, either because
of dictators, of fascists, of bogus religious leaders, who tried to
subjugate their people and conquer the hope and dreams, we gave our
lives and our blood..so that we may know freedom..so that we can
fulfill our dreams. When we started our country. our friends whom we
elected to office , made a pact with us, because at one time, the
government wasn't a separate entity from us the people. They shared
our dream
Our dreams is still on, we
need to act on our dreams. We all know that power corrupts, and
absolute power corrupts absolutely. The only way to reverse our
situation is to remove the career politicians and replace them with
new ones, fresh ideas who believe in Constitution, who believe that
the greatness of this country does not come from the government
officials, but from its people, because we are what made this
country great. We should be vigilant, because it is the prize of
liberty. Vote for a better Barangay Captains and Youth leaders that
are hope of the motherland. This election is the foundation of the
future clean and honest elections. Go and elect a better person for
the job. For God, Family and Country.

Thank you for comments
Tonyboy.
I did not meet Mayona on a
site for brides but in another chat room. I do not agree with buying
brides, and I do not understand in the 21st century how it is legal
in any country.
In short Mayona told me
she had to marry this man for her family after he had talked to her
for two weeks he made her this offer he would give her a Laptop send
her to college and give her family money but the condition was she
had to marry him it is obvious he went on the site looking to buy a
Filipino women for a wife. These two people did not marry for love a
western man took advantage of a poor Filipino and made her an offer
he knew would buy him his wife.
I know that since this
marriage took place Mayona has received the promised Laptop and the
wealth of the Radomes as noticeably increased (they had to wait
until the marriage took place before they got what he offered). I do
not understand this man that since I have made my posting's he as
not applied to have the marriage annulled unless it is because he as
an financial interest in this or is it because he as bought his wife
and owns her.
I have e-mailed your
forward thinking President Aquino requesting what this Government
proposes to make this immoral practice of western men illegal and
protect the people of the Philippines.
I have received lots of
messages of support from the people of Catbalogan and wish to thank
all of them.
